HIGHLIGHTS OF CROATIA 8 days, 7 nights

Day 1, ZAGREB

Upon arrival at Zagreb Airport, transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2, ZAGREB –PLITVICE

  • Morning city tour includes the fortified Upper Town, the City's historical centre, St.Mark's church with its multicolored roof, the Cathedral, the Croatian National Theatre and University. In the afternoon we proceed to Plitvice. Dinner and overnight in Plitvice.

Day 3, PLITVICE -ZADAR

  • After breakfast we will tour the Plitvice National Park, one of the sites on UNESCO's List of World Natural Heritage. The waters flowing over the limestone and chalk have over thousands of years deposited reverting barriers creating natural dams which in turn have created a series of beautiful lakes, caves and waterfalls. These geological processes continue even today. We proceed to Zadar. Dinner and overnight in Zadar.

Day 4, ZADAR – KRKA –SPLIT

  • After breakfast, we will tour the city of Zadar including the Roman Forum and St. Donatus Church a magnificent monument of Romanesque Architecture. We will continue to the National Park Krka, right beside the National Park Kornati-the most precious natural jewel of the whole Dalmatia. The Krka Waterfalls, just like those of the Plitvice Lakes, are the result of travertine sedimentation. The Park abounds also with cultural and historical monuments. Drive to Split. Dinner and overnight are arranged in Split.

Day 5, SPLIT -TROGIR

  • Morning is reserved for the sightseeing tour of town Split, another addition to the UNESCO’s World Heritage list. The tour includes the Diocletian's Palace (305 A.D.) with Peristil square, Jupiter's Temple, Cellars and the Cathedral. The Palace is a rare example of very well preserved, late classical Roman architecture and a unique place where the Palace is totally blended with today's modern town Split. Interesting amalgamation of late classical emperor villa, military camp and Hellenic town, the Palace will thrill you with its narrow paved streets and palaces .After the break, departure is scheduled for Trogir. In Trogir we visit the Cathedral of St Lawrence, unique work of Romanesque Architecture. Drive back to Split. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 6, SPLIT –RADMANOVE MLINICE –DUBROVNIK

  • In the morning we will depart for Dubrovnik and make a stop in Radmanove Mlinice, near Cetina River, where we will have lunch. We will have an opportunity to taste traditional food and beverage. In the afternoon we will depart for Dubrovnik. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day 7, DUBROVNIK

  • After breakfast we tour some of the key monuments of Dubrovnik: the Franciscan Monastery with Europe's third oldest pharmacy, the Rector's palace and the Cathedral. Time at leisure to enjoy the beauty of this cultural gem or to relax in one of many charming restaurants and cafes. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 8, DUBROVNIK

After breakfast the tour ends with the transfer to the Dubrovnik airport.
